“The Nigerian society as a whole has inadvertently
been silent on the plight of single parents, most especially single mothers. The impact of this is the huge
prejudice on single mothers. This negative bias has affected the life of these mothers and of course the
children. The ripple impact of this bias is staggering as even the average child and adult, in the society are
